Happy to be an owner again

Hi all, I am a proud owner of a 79 sa project car. My wife surprised me with the car as a Christmas present. I have previously owned a 82 gs, 84 gsl and a 93 touring. Had to sell the 93 when the daughter was born. Now 20 years later we are empty nesters. The car is in rough shape and has been partially stripped and turned in to a autocross racecar. And we want to turn it back into a restomod daily driver. So I will be looking for allot of advice and parts.
thanksIn advance for all the help.

Kenn

Kenn,

Welcome back into the rotary family! Will this be a project car for both you and your wife?

Kenn,

Excellent! Post a pic or two for posterity. Will you start a build thread?

I will take some pics and post tomorrow.
I hadn't really considered doing a build thread but I that might be fun to do also.

I mentioned a project. It was totally her doing finding the 7.
Here are some pictures I took this morning.
It's super rough and probably going to require a complete tear down and replace / restore.

oh man great find! welcome aboard. 11/78 build date making it one of the first wave to come to the US for the 79 yr model so hood prop is on the passenger side. got the one piece wrap around intake. what carb is on it? i'm guessing by the different wheels it only has the SE rear and the front is stock.

Yes the hood prop is on the passenger side. The carb is a Mikuni not sure of size yet. It has 84 se rear end with 83 gs in the front. Will probsably replace the fronts with 84 se if foe no other reason to get a single set of wheels.
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

That's a very buildable car you have!!! There are some nice upgrades I see in the pictures. The car isn't rotted out so that's a good thing. Looks like it's been sitting for some time. Someone was enthusiastic about building that car at one point and I'm looking forward to seeing where you take the car from here!
