Greetings from Syracuse
I'm driving a "no rust" 83 RX7 GSL. Not perfect, but a driver. Summer only, both weeks. It was my wife's car of 24 years ago and we decided to keep it. She drove for a few winters and was talked into having it rust proofed with "Rusty Jones" treatment. It's like spraying the insides of the car with a thick 3 in 1 oil. Including the engine compartment. It worked, but it's not pretty as it collects all the road film. I'm working on wiping it clean. I have a new post in the tech section for newbies. The rear winshield wiper is not working. It worked fine before I monkeyed with it trying to replace the hatch strut (another story). I've got power back to it but no joy. Still have a list of other minor repairs and normal MX. radiator & hoses are next. It only has 50K on it runs good. See you in the tech section. Thanks
Thanks. I haven't had it on the road in the winter since '90. Other than oil and filters I've replaced the A/C compressor, the muffler and the carb floats. Keeping it off the road saved it from the salt.
It stills has the normal road rash for a car of its age but looks good. When I figure out how to post some pics, I'll get some up. Cheers
