Greetings from Northern NJ!
Hello, again! I made an introduction post but it wasn't approved for some odd reason....oh well! My name is Marc D, and I own a blue n/a 1987 Mazda RX-7 FC (S5, Savannah, etc.) I'll go into my story again:
I'm a "new" 2nd gen owner, although I've rode in and worked on 2nd and 3rd gens for about 6 years now with my brother. My brother is an Automotive Technician who (used to) love rotaries. He bought my car 6 years ago, and then a '94 FD about 3 years ago, and the '87 FC was handed down to me to keep it in the family.
Although I've only been driving it for about 3 months now, I know the car practically inside and out. We bought the car with about 160k on the engine and it went at about 220k. We then replaced it with another used engine, and did all the work ourselves. All together, we've replaced such things as the engine, trans, clutch, alternator, seats, rear hatch, and I've worked on such things such as the shocks and suspension, rear axles/control arms. I've also done routine maintenance work such as brake jobs and oil changes myself. I basically have a pretty decent knowledge of the car and its parts thanks to my brother. (as a side note, I also have done the same work on his car as well, including the engine swap). I also have a full Racing Beat exhaust system in it.
Other than that, I can tell you that right now I'm doing some interior work, fixing the things my brother left me broken. Then I'm moving on to fixing some OTHER broken things in my engine, and perhaps moving on to a body fix/paint job which she needs badly. I might get a turbo engine and swap in later on, but that's the distant future.
Send me a message if you live in the Northern New Jersey area, I started a meet recently. Thanks for reading!

Hey man,
What's going on. I'm located in Rahway. I just picked up an fc vert I know a few people in the central jersey area as well. If you need any help let me know I was a mechanic for 4 years. I mostly know Nissan's, but trying to learn more about these RX7's
