Greetings from AZ
Hi everyone. I have recently purchased a 1979 Rx-7. It has been a project since I got it. The previous owner spent a lot of time and money many years ago on building it. He put in a 13b with an aftermarket turbo, twin Weber carbs, electronic ignition and a wide body kit. I was told he passed away before getting it completed. The body kit was done very well but it never got painted beyond primer. After cleaning out the fuel system, I have it running. What a great sound!

Thanks. I am envious of you being able to escape the AZ heat. It not even a dry heat anymore now that the monsoon humidity has started to hit. I am in Glendale but bought the car in New River. For those of you who don't know New River is a small town North of the Phoenix metro area. It is much "closer" to the desert than the cities. It is so much closer, when I went to look at the Rx-7 to buy it, we opened the hood to discover that some critter had built a nest right on top of the engine. It was all piled up with all kinds of cactus and twigs. I didn't think of taking a pic of it until after I got it all cleaned out. Fortunately there was no damage done to any wires or anything. I guess that’s what you call a "barn find" Arizona style. I will post some pics of the car soon.
