ON Greatings from canadia!!

Hi,my name is Brandon
I live in Canada, Ottawa Ontario to be exact.
I have a BMW e36 325is but wish it was an fb s3 13b (still love you bmw dont worry)It was a great car when I bought it but my anger has gotten to it so no pics.

I always loved rx7's since I was first car shopping. My dad didn't want an $800 leaky pos FB in the driveway so I end up with a $2000 leaky pos e38 740il. I fell in love with the brand but here I am with an e36, and still not a rotary!!! I am currently looking for a s2/s3 come spring!!

If I had the budget everyone in Ottawa would be seeing a 13b bp turbo e36 flying about! ...in my dreams

Welcome! You have excellent taste in vehicles

S3 is the best IMO - the lower air dam is perfectly shaped in addition to the brake cooling inlets.

However I must be honest, I do prefer the interior of the SA or the S2... Even though I'm on my 3rd s3

Got a lineup on an FB yet or still looking? I suggest the GSL-SE trim package. Excellent starting point for any endeavor you may have in the realms of FB

really any first gen i drool over!! havent seen enough in person to tell the differences though :/ and ive never seen an sa before even on kijiji or whatever

i dont really care about interiors because i usually end up throwing it all away in the end O.o although im VERY picky about gauges :P

theres an '85 gsl that im waiting for... its still in storage guy wants $3500, comes safetied with 107'000km, 2 owners (both same family), red paint looks faded and the window tint is bubbling, theres some pointers to drop the price

id love to find a 13b rew from the 'newer' rx7's and make it single turbo for simplicity

just wondering though? would it be better to buy from someone here on the forums or a private sale? im too new to check them sales out yet though

I sold my GSL for 2500 - it was in IMMACULATE condition. Kinda regret that now. As soon as i told the dood the price he pulled out a wad of cash and handed it over. I think it had 80-90k miles on it at the time. This was in 2000-2001. $3500 is more the price.

If the car is in excellent condition, $3500 would be a decent score. Personally I look for the 2500-3000 range.

GSL is good - 4 wheel disc and LSD rear. You can easily swap in a 13b by using a GSL-SE front engine cover plate & oil pan along with a Racing Beat 12a-13b engine mount cross-member conversion. Not too expensive.

Buying from forum vs elsewhere - if its on the forum there's a history of the car work - search by posts by member. but off forum, who knows? Either way, a gem's a gem, and a lemon's a lemon.

I tend to buy cars from forum members (Subie and Mazda).
