Got me a FC
Hay whats up guys, just sealed the deal this morning on an 86 RX-7.
Has 66k on it
Not one mod besides a cd player.
Interior is in great shape
Outside is a lil rough.
Just needs a fuel pump and it will be good to go.
paid 650 for it.
once its running im going to start doing some body work.
I will need an exhaust so any suggestions would be great.
Not a fan of the Apexi system though.
Also any suggestions and tips would be great.
I have alot of FAQ postings to read lol.
But a lil about me:
I live in pittsburgh and my other mazda is a mazdaspeed protege.
240whp and 220tq @ 8psi on a mustang dyno.
Thanks for checking out my post and cant wait to get the RX-7 up and running.

i had a pacesetter exhaust on my MX-6 and i like it alot, its sounded good and looked stock from the looks of it its a dual DTM mufflers.
Have there been bad experiences with guys running it?
will do.... Should have it running tomorrow, im going to take some starter fluid and just see if i can get it to start, that will help make sure that its just the fuel pump.
Also is there a pittsburgh/pa section on here?

But for today i got the title and changed some fuses.
a fat kid in a small place haha.
dam screws suck
on this pic there is a faint green circle, what is this block off plate for? also to the right of that a lil there are two green connectors that have nothing connected.

alright cool,
so after driving it a lil more the power streering isnt working and the gas gauge isnt working either.
Also when i was done driving i let it idle for like 5 mins or so and maybe about like 5 hours later i went to start it up and it wouldn't start.
I was reading somewhere about flooding the motor and having to let it sit but i wasnt sure what caused it to happen.
after i wouldnt start it sat for a 3-4 more hours and then fired up, but i was just wondering what could prevent this from happening.

Run a can of seafoam Found at any parts store Napa , Advance auto, etc. threw the gas tank also let some drip into the throttle body while its idling or at low revs. Cleans all the deposits out of the injectors and passages not sure what the block off plate is there on all of them i believe, and the green connectors which are not connected are Mazda dealership factory DLC prom plugs for there Diagnostic machines, machines which are very rare to find since there circa 80s and discontinued Factory mechanics equipment. Great find have fun my $1500 1989 6spd GTU now makes 700HP lol
