NS Glad to be here

Hi to all, I am a new member, I recently purchased a 1984 RX-7 GSL-SE. I live in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. This is the first time that I buy a car as a leisure/pleasure only. I have started working on it, a few little rusty spots, nothing major. I must say that I am totally new at this type of engine. I am told that it was the first year that the 13B engine was made. I will definitely be searching for hints, or advice on how to maintain my little Babe, which I nicknamed IZZIE after my daughter. I am glad that I found you guys, perhaps talk to some of you soo.Take care.

Ciao,
Dan Theriault

Hi Dan, I have a 1985 RX-7 S. It has the original 12A engine. I am located in Sambro, Nova scotia, about 1/2 an hour from Dartmouth. When you get you car on the road it would be great to get together, I don't really know of anybody else in N.S with an RX-7. Anyways, good luck with your car and if you need any tips or advice let me know.

NS Introduction

Hi my name is Dan Theriault, I live in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. I have a 1984 RX7 GSL-SE 13B engine. I am presently doing a little work on it, such as brakes, touch paint, and other small repairs. I would like to know if there is anyone out in my area that has a RX7 around the same year. I would like to know more about these type of engines and possibly meet a good rotary mechanic in my area. Glad to be here.

Hi Dan,

I combined the new thread with the old one. Looks like a nice SE.

I'm not local, but I can try to answer any questions that you may have. Once you get a few more posts under your belt, you might also check out the Canadian regional section on here to see if there are any GSL-SE guys in NS.

Good luck.

Kent

NS Thank you

Hi fellows, I sincerely thank you for the nice comments. I know that I had posted couple years back, but kind had a rough 1 1/2 year. I should be able to post and converse more often now that I am not as busy. My interest in the car has resumed so here I go. Plus, I found it hard to first contact anyone on this type of website. I will be trying to keep my GSL-SE (nickname "IZZIE") as stock and original as possible. First how do I go about obtaining genuine or reliable parts, where, how and so on. I need a few things, but I am not sure which site or place I should get them from, anyu suggestions. Have a great Day folks or like we used to say on the ship have a great NAVY day.

Dan
