Giving it another go

Hi all. Been really fun over the past few years reading and doing research on the rotary engine.
it's been a quite a few years since I've gotten to enjoy driving my first gen rx7.
I was an industrial pump mechanic for the better part of 15 years. It's amazing how similar the rotary engine operates.
I've had a horrible experience dealing with my first gen. From a simple 12a rebuild to chop shopped vehicle.... Starting all over only to be so angry and frustrated I almost gave up on it entirely.

After 3 years of part saving and research I finally decided to try and give an East coast shop a shot at renewing my faith in the word "Mechanic"
The term is so loosely used these days it's amazing what passes as good quality work. I dealt with it in my industry as well. I never cut corners or was untruthful to my customers the way some of these performance shops are.

I'm hoping that my choice in builders will prove me wrong and that the rx7 community isn't as bad as I got it at the start.

So far I can say that both people at IR performance thus far have helped me ease back and seem to give each build the proper attention.

I don't want to bore you with a sob story of my short comings but I have faith that after speaking with Andrew after his few hour drive just to come pick up the dead lump of metal I call a car up, that sooner or later I will be driving it again.

Hope to get some good advice and have fun with this car again. Because of course that's what it's all about.
Thanks again
