Be gentle :<

Hi~ I'm new here obviously.

My name's Angela and I live in the DFW area of Texas.

I'm here because 1) While Googling for RX-7 images I landed here 2) I noticed my fiancé posted here [I'm sure he'll make himself known] and 3) I'm hoping to gain knowledge about a car that I'll be acquiring if all goes well!

An '87 RX-7.

It will need some interior restoration (seats mainly) and I might have to do some engine work. The guy I'm buying it from says it overheats. Fortunately someone in the area is selling a rebuilt motor at not too bad a price.

I'm planning to do all the work with the muscular support of my fiancé. [Note that is not lady-lingo that translates into : "Oh I'll have my man do it." I am getting my hands dirty.]

I'm really excited.

I may as well explain my...interesting choice of screen name.

My fiancé is the one who introduced me to rotaries and when he was explaining them to me he was saying instead of pistons that the engine has spinning triangles... curved triangles..kind of like a Dorito 3D chip.

This was funny and all. Then he was watching/showed me a video of a guy showing off his car. The guy turned it on and it idled and I was so amused and I just loved the sound of rotaries idling! (Thanks to him I also now kind of smirk at hearing a turbo spooling.) What made it better is, with the start up it kind of sounded like the car went " DOHrito-rito-rito-rito-rito"

I can't wait to get this car and make it MINE.

I'm the fiancé she speaks of, and I can't say I approve of this introduction. :|
