G'day from Oz.
My names Brad, and I'm the proud owner/builder of a scary S4 RX-7. About 5 years ago I imported what seemed to be a slightly modified model from Japan. I was given a tiny list of mods and a few photo's. The most significant of which looked to be a body kit (although a great looking one), a front bucket seat and a few aftermarket gauges. I expected a pretty stock car, and wasn't fussed since I save a tonne on buying even a bog stock one here in Oz. 6 months later she arrived I was astonished to find after pulling it apart for inspection and modifications it already had a laundry list of high price upgrades and had been modified far more than either the broker or auctioneer realized. To name just a tiny sample of the mods was a Cusco 3-way diff, complete official HKS Garrett T04 kit, ORC triple plate clutch, Greddy's latest Profec EBC at the time, JIC Fully adjustable shocks, and so on.
It served me well until the front rotor blew to bits, but it just gave me a chance to get to work COMPLETELY rebuilding, strengthening and porting the engine (including brand new housings, and such a big extend port we went busted through the walls of 2 side housings in the process . The HKS t04 kit is now replaced by a Garrett T51, and the internal engine mods are too numerous too mention. I've never dynoed her since the rebuild, but needless to say my mates continue to insist I install holy **** bars .
Anyway, that's my intro. Hope you enjoyed. I look forward to my visits here. Oh, and when I remember where i stored some pics I'll post a few up up if anyone wants a gander.
