Talking G'day from Australia

Hey, my name's Ty. And i'm 16 in less then a month and for the past 4 years, all things automotive have taken me by the throat and really engraved a way of life (you could say) into my mind...

I was quick to jump in and get a job, saved up some money and bought my first car (had to spend the majority of the time trying to convince the mother, as you do, haha). defiantly isn't the best car, its just an astra, but its purpose is as a first car, good on fuel etc etc..

Having long moved on from computer games, magazines aren't really cutting the cake for me either... and a family that has long gotten over its automotive filled past... i'm now joining this forum

Why?

because i'm looking to get myself an FD.... the car of my dreams, there are no cars like it where i live, this is v8 country, Japanese cars are usually shunned upon out here... would be great to shake things up a bit...

So i'm here to learn as much as i can about this car and in particular, the rotary engine, meet other rotary enthusiasts and hopefully a wealth of user friendly knowldege.

Regards, Ty

Mad, where abouts in Australia are you from?
I'm from Adelaide, SA but working in America for the next 2 years to get my aircraft maintenance license..

I got myself a series 3 limited edition rx-7, their models here in the US are a fair bit different than Australia's rx-7s.

If you want an FD, make sure you do your research and you might want to rebuild it too.

Have fun in the astra while you can though! haha..
