French Canadian RHD Rx-7 owner. HI!
Hi guys, new here. I currently own an 92 FD, which is RHD. I live in QC, Canada.
I've had my 7 for 3 years, had to rebuild it, had it done from a local rotary shop. This summer was the first summer that I could drive it the whole 4 months lol! But it was on a test tune, and then on the real tune for about 1-2 months. My setup was:
Streetport
Injectors
Large stock mount intercooler
Rebuilt twins running @ 16 PSI
Non-sequential twins
and a bunch of other normal upgrades when getting over 350whp in the future.
My setup had gotten me some good numbers; 360WHP
284 WTQ
Being a bit greedy for more power, I had the luck to be unlucky, the bolt in front of my turbo failed since it hadn't been torqued right, and it went through the second turbo itself. Now here I am in need of a turbo change. I finally decided to go single turbo, going with a used HKS T04R 1.00, also getting a FMIC instead of stock mount. Expecting numbers around 430-470 WHP.
I am in need of a new wheel/tire setup. I knew this forum was a great one, if not THE one and I had been taking a look at it for quite a while now with all those beautiful threads such as: "Post a pic of your 3rd gen Rx-7" or "Post a pic of your wheel fitment".
My current setup is:
Front: 235/35/ZR17 with a 17x9 +25 wheel
Rear: 245/45/ZR17 with a 17x9.5 +20 wheel
I just got myself new shoes: SSR's
Front: 18x9 +24
Rear: 18x10 +24
I was wondering which size of tires would get me a SQUARE fitment/look such as Herblenny. However, I do not plan (as of now) to get the FEED fenders. I will roll the rear fenders and also pull them a little since 18x10 +24 will poke out about 2.4mm more than before (which is not alarming).
So in your opinion, which size of tires should I be using front AND rears, in order to get a square setup.
Anyways, have a good one, most likely going to post this on the wheel fitment thread aswell, but as I couldn't do it on there yet I figured I'd do it here first.
