Hi there Just registered on this site, I was trying to post on the market place but I don't have enough privileges. I see the sticky that says I am not allowed to post for sale items here. But technically I am not. I am trying to free up some space in my barn and have a "Ran when Stored" 12A with a 5 speed gearbox attd. It is FREE to a good home But you collect from Mebane NC 27302. I have no way to transport or ship this. It has sat inside for 10 years and I sold the MGB it was spares for it is complete with carb distributor etc. I don't want scrap it, so once again you come get it and it is FREE.

Once again sorry if I am bending / Breaking the rules of this part of the forum but I am just trying to get this drivetrain a new home and contribute to your community and our hobby.
If this post can be moved ,by a moderator, to a more appropriate part of this forum, That would be great THX

I am one of the forum moderators. Moving this post into our marketplace is not that simple. It requires a good amount of input on your behalf. I understand your viewpoint on offering a free part and appreciate that you want to keep the parts in enthusiast's hands. However, any part offered through our forum is an advertisement - even if it is free. For several reasons, all advertisements must go through our marketplace. First, it is a single point to sort through cars and parts for our community. Second, it is community driven - members helping members keeping their cars on the road. Third, it keeps each subforum organized by relevant content.

Think of the marketplace as a classified section in a newspaper: would you like to sift through Tom, Dick, and Harry's part advertisements intermixed with the sports section or top news story? Or would you go to the grocery store to shop for the latest news?

My suggestion is to get at least 5 posts (only 3 more to go) and then try to access our marketplace. If this is too cumbersome then you may opt to use other external methods for finding a good home for those rotary parts. How would you like to proceed?
