former member returning

Hello all from TSPenn in New Jersey. I was a member for several years back in the mid 90's till around 2000. I think my user name was gonzo1 or something like that. I don't recall, been almost 10 years, so I just signed up new.

WHY?, I passed by a BMWCCA time trial rally in the parking lot of Patriot Stadium in Bridgewater, NJ and noticed one lone red 87 Turbo in the lot. So I turned around to watch the action. The RX7 had a great run. As he got back in line I decided to take a look and say hello. Nice guy, didn't get his name but he is member and told me I should join back up. After some car talk, he looked at me and said, "You know, all RX7's also have that same smell." In about two seconds I knew he was right, my brain recalled the smell instantly. I knew that fact, I just never heard anybody say it before.

My heart was pumping a bit as I left, I've owned 7- 2nd Gen cars and I miss them more then I thought I guess. I turned to my wife and said I'm buying another RX7. Then I looked her in the eyes, dead serious and said: "Will you be my beloved cup holder?"

Quiet ride home, but I have joined up again and shopping!

Thanks,

TS Penn

Thanks for intro kudos. Hope to find a car this winter. I got a custom VW Sand Rail I gotta get rid of first to open up the garage. I expect whatever I can afford is going to need some garage time. No problem and I can hardly wait.
