ON First time poster from Ontario

What's up rx7club? My name is Patrick, I've lurked for a long time, and I'm subscribed to the twitter feed, trying to learn everything I can about my most recent investment, a 1989 RX7. I bought it from a friend and I've got an idea of what I'm doing with it, I'm just lacking the fundamental knowledge on all the fun that is rotary (Coming from a Honda background). The search button and the archives will be my best friends for a while. Hopefully I get to meet some locals!

Not much to say about myself really. So take care!

Patrick, make sure to hit the "Read This" threads and the Questionnaire to get the lowdown on all the rules and craziness of this website. Then you can go to your regional boards and find out who the rotorheads are in your area when you need some "hands-on" help with your car. You've got the right idea on searching, just about everything that can happen to an RX-7 has happened to somebody on this board and a solution is normally given.

Thanks for saving another RX-7 from the crusher and welcome aboard to RX-7 Club!

Thanks for the warm welcome. At the moment, I'm trying to find some information regarding the settings to use with a VAFC (probably something that hasn't been discussed around here in a long time). I've been searching here and google for days! So far I've:

installed my wideband and figured out at what points I need to do some meddling
bookmarked a bunch of links regarding install and wiring and such
bookmarked the .pdf file for the manual from Apexi.

The car runs okay, but it has an FD fuel pump, and it's an NA S5. It doesn't like to idle, and when it does, it's very short lived. But it runs fine while driving, minus some lean spots when I'm just coasting on a highway. Got a long way to go still but it's going to be a fun journey!

Welcome to the board!

I lived in ON once upon a time back when I was born and then endured 30 more years of that hell before getting smart enough to move to the most beautiful province in the country

But...

This is not about me, It's about you! And your many adventures your going to enjoy/cherish for years to come being the owner of an RX-7

How long would your driving season be in a car like that?

Doesn't seem like your weather would always cooperate with an RX!

I managed all winter with it. Lots of fun. Never once did it leave me stranded! I love this car!
