TX first rx7 for a long time gear head.

Hey guys. Been lurking around here for a long time because I've always wanted an rx7. Just never was in the right spot to grab one since I've always had mustangs and dsm`s as projects and play toys. But, I just bought my first. An 89 gxl. It has no compression, and is rough around the edges, but no rust, all straight panels, and I knew the owner, so I know the car actually rand and drove, all the electrical works, etc. Stole her for a whole 500 bucks!

I'm pretty excited. For now, I am just going to put in another name engine and get it running to evaluate toe condition of the brakes, suspension, rest of drive train, etc. Then, its on to a swap. 20b or ls based would be my top choices.

I'm glad to actually be a part of the site!

Not bad. Much the same here, I have been lurking and always wanted a FD now I am trying to learn as much as I can about them. Long time mustang guy as well on dfwmustangs. Anyone local to DFW have a v8 FD ? Not a LS1 but a ford motor? I kinda want to go that route so call me crazy. What motor are you going to use?
