First RX7 and boy am I happy!

Hey, name is Greg, big time car enthusiast. I'm 24 and I've had cars from a 81' Corvette to a 08' Tiburon. This is my first RX7, actually first rotary period and I'm very happy with my purchase. It's an 88' RX7 an so far the following is done:

Motor rebuild
Tein coilovers
Flowmaster exhaust
6k HID
Push start ignition
Body paint (red)
Removal of interior carpets, storage boxes, panels and center console.
Other minor cosmetics like shift ****, pedals, etc.

I'm really excited on this project and referencing this forum for important info/tech has been a lifesaver, so I thought I would join. Thanks in advance for your help in my project. I'm sure it's going to be a fun ride!

Thanks David, yeah I'm finding that out really fast. Had a problem with the locking mechanism in the passenger door (heard it was a common problem with a broken bracket) took the entire door apart (turned out to be relatively easy) and come to find out a bolt was caught in the locking mechanism... Door works like a charm now.. Once I get enough posts I will probably do a write up on it with pics.. I'll double check to see of its done prior first though.

Haha, thanks. Yeah craziest part is I live in Hawaii, so what you see is what you get, unless you're willing to pay the outrageous freight to get something shipped over. I undoubtably lucked out, for which I'm super grateful for!

Yeah definitely... The main "problems" the guy told me about was that the interior wasn't in great shape (re-upholstery and custom interiors is one of my specialties!), there was a problem with the passenger door "locking mechanism was broken" (ended up being a nut stuck in the assembly EASY FIX) and finally he tried drifting it and dented the rear bumper. (check the frame and no problems). So with all the "problems" being either not remarkably problematic or easily fixed... This should be fun!

Tiny pic, but looks clean! Is that a non sunroof car? I like the idea of a lightweight FC

Sorry about pic quality Im doing everything from my phone (computer broke).... It's got a sunroof... Was debating on either removing it and covering it up or slapping a fixed tinted glass over it... Hawaii has a good enough breeze so I don't use it.

Oh and btw... I got it for a steal ($1400)... Owner said both locking mechanism didn't work (passenger door wouldn't even open) but I stripped the doors down, ended up being easy fix "nut lodged in pass door and adjusted driver side lever" $0 fix lol...
