First rotary, fourth turbo car
What's up guys, my name is James I live in Washington. Yesterday I picked up my first rotary car, 1993 rx7. It needs some work as it has been sitting for the last nine years. Owner said it was blowing bluish smoke so he stopped driving it.
When I got her home yesterday the first thing I did was check compression or at least tried to. Pulled the leading plugs and hooked up the piston compression tester but I was getting no readings. So I moved it to the rear rotor with the same results. I'm blaming the tester because I can hear the compression I just don't know how much compression I have. So my plan is flush all fluids, he didn't drain anything, replace battery and spark plugs and some fresh fuel. I want to get an idea of what exactly is going on with the car mechanically.

Waiting for tax return so I can do some work to her. I did a lot of searching for the car and found it at a super deal of $4,500 clean title. Does need some TLC like he said, broken int. pieces here and there but it's 21 years old.
Good luck to you finding one
