Finally have my FD! Only cost $1500!
Whats up guys, my name is Keylan! Finally glad to "officially" be a part of the family after lurking here and there over the years!
I first heard about this car when a guy on a local forum posted that he had stumbled across it in a guys front yard after doing a field survey for the mortgage company he worked for at the house next door. He had stopped and looked at it, but decided to pass on it since it was an auto. He offered to give the number to anybody interested and that the guy was only asking $2000 for the car. That was about 8 months ago and for some dumb reason I didn't inquire back then and that was the last I ever heard about it.
Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago and I tried getting in touch with the guy that posted about it even though he hadn't logged onto the forum in a month. He said he no longer had the guys number but he could give me directions to his house but he wasn't sure if the car was still there or not. Even though it was a 2 hr drive I told him it'd definitely be worth my time! As you can probably tell, it turns out the car was still there! Thankfully the guy was right outside when I pulled up (probably strange for him since it was in the middle of nowhere lol). He gladly showed me the car and even gave me a ride in it! Said he'd take $1500 for it! So needless to say I came back the next day and drove her home! Yes, a running/driving FD for $1500! I was super stoked!
Anyways, enough of my blabbing, here are some pics! This is on the way home at a gas station
Took a little time to put some elbow grease (and I mean that! I don't have a buffer lol) today. Paint came back to life a little bit! But will really need a paintjob in the future.
She does have her problems though! The interior has definitely seen better days! It has been beaten bay the sun for years (faded plastics and cracked dash) and nearly ever console piece and door handles have broken mounting tabs so it is all loose! Other wise, its not the worst! The seats aren't tore or anything at least. The chrome rings on the cluster have also flaked. As far as the outside, both headlight covers are gone, and both door handles are broken off (have billet aluminum ones on order!)
Anyways, I am sure I'll get a build thread going one of these days, but for now I'll just leave it as that! Looking forward to learning a lot more about these cars!

Haha, thanks guys! I am definitely super excited about it! Y'all be upset to know that I paid $1700 for that supra. But it was wrecked very bad in the front and required a tremendous amount of work. Not to mention it was an NA auto car when I got it but I have since converted it to a 6-speed and will turbo one day. Also my pops has a 93 silver touring with red leather that he paid $5000 for running and driving haha. We've had some ridiculous deals over the years.
