Finally a 7 owner

My first foray into the rotary kingdom was with the purchase of my '04 RX-8 in August of 2007. The 8 was a replacement for my less-than-one-year-old Scion tC I had received for graduating high school. My tC, while parked on the street, was hit twice by a drunk driver. The first impact being around 70mph, and thusly, the car was totaled.

Since acquiring the 8, I've been modifying and tuning it. Project Mu brakes in all corners, RE-Amemiya parts everywhere, and so forth. I now have the engine apart in my living room and I'm prepping it for a port and polish. Luckily, I am able to use my sister's tC while she's off at school in Chicago. Bad news is that she returns in about two weeks and will be wanting her car back.

Enter the RX-7. Last weekend I bought an '88 vert in white as my DD. 113k miles and I'm the second owner. Old guy in Washington used it as his fair weather car. It needed a new TPS sensor and a new catalytic converter. I was able to source both from my friend's S4 parts car. However, I ran out of time to mess with the uncooperative TPS sensor due to midterms encroaching. So I have to drive back up to my parent's house in Portland.

I figure the 7 will need a rebuild this summer, maybe I'll do an S5 N/A swap instead. But as long as this one lasts until the end of the school term I'll be ecstatic.
