ok here goes my story
How did you get introduced to the RX-7?
when i was like in middle school my mom would take me to school before she went to work...and every day we passed by a house that had a black convertable at the time i didnt know anything about rx7s, rotary or anything...but i know i liked that car from the body styling down to the rims...later in highschool i took auto and i became more into cars all my friends would talk about b16 this b18 that and i was lost... my junior year i was looking online for pictures of cars and i came across a picture of an fd and tought it looked cool i did some research and i was confused about this whole rotary engine and googled it and was on the computer for hours and was still amazed on the concept of a triangle powerplant lol and while i was googling rx7 i came across a picture of a black convertable rx7 the same car that i would pass everyday on my way to school and a lil kid and even then i still found it beautiful...once i graduated a started working for hersheys and i had some cash and i went car shopping i ended up buying a 2005 corrolla xrs i loved that car but i wasnt completly happy with it i felt like i needed some thing more.... a few months after purchasing the corolla a friend of mine introduced my to a same called wagan midnight maximum tune 3 which lets u race down the highways of tokyo in jdm cars and as im searching thru the cars i came across a 1989 rx7 gtx and i had to have it i beat the same in that car and started thinking how cool it would be to own one...later on i was trying to get at this one girl and she had some drifter friends and she told me about a track where they would have lil events so one day i went and i was once again in front of an fc and seening it in action made me decide to sell my corolla and search for an fc...


Where did you get your RX-7 from?
after i sold my corolla i was searching everywhere for a fc but i couldnt find one...i was very picky i wanted an 1989 ( my birthday year) fc and it had to be white(like the fc i drove in the game) but i could only find red fcs...and all of them where n/a i couldnt find any turbo rx7s...i searched high and low and one day on craigslist i found a listing about an fc at first i was very sketchy it being posted on craisglist an all but i went and checked it out upon arriving i knew that i had found her i checked her out test drove it did a compression check and everything was good that day i gave the guy 500 dollars and the next day i gave him the rest

Have you had any problems with the RX-7?
i havent had any problems with the rx7 it self just one of my tires blew out on the freeway and it fucked up my rear driveside quarter panel...it had a cracked radiator but i replaced it and now its running good

What are you plans for the RX-7?
initialy i wanted to go turbo or 4 rotor but times are tuff and i am going to school to become a probation officer and i really have to stay out of trouble so i was thinking of just getting a good rebuild and maybe a streetport...but the temptation of going t2 is always there
What do you know about cars and RX-7s in general?
i know enough about cars that if they break down i could fix it myself as long as i
have the tools music and a mucho mango arizona or beer...and rx7 i have learned alot about them since my intrest in them grew

Who taught you what you know about cars?
i pretty much taught myself from doing research and asking alot of questions... that and i am and only child from a single mom and we didnt have n e one to fix our car when it would break down so i pretty much had to learn how to do things for myself but i did take auto in high school which just taught us how to chage breaks lol and also i would learn from seeing my uncles and friends and their dads working on their cars...but i learned most about working on rx7 from this forum there is so many helpful threads i would spend hours on here researching the littlest things there are alot of people here that have contributed to my knowlege of rx7s specially icemark and arroncake
Have you met any new friends since owning your RX-7?
hell yea it seems like at every other drifting event i go to i end up seeing some fellow rx7 owner and we just stop talk look at each others cars and end up swaping info...even people in the streets i get many thumbs up from 240s and ae86s when im driving around

i love my fc and this community of rx7 owners this has got to be the best forum there is out there so kick back and full of information...owning an rx7 is one of the best things that has ever happened to me...and even tho gas mileage sucks (specially cuz i have a heavy foot) it is worth it when people point and look and tell u nice car awesome rx7...well this is my story cant wait to read someone elses

Wassup frank good read!! Yo kinda the same way I found out about rotarys... my mom was looking for a lil suv in 02 and went to the ISUZU/ MAZDA Dealership and brought me some post cards one was a sexy red RX-8 and I read everything about on the back of the card. And and the age of 13 I had no idea what a 1.3 renisance rotary engine was.
