FC Turbo II

Hey everyone,
Greetings from Texas. I just wanted to introduce myself. I just purchased a 87 FC Turbo II. It definitely needs alot of love, but that is pretty much why I got it! I will hopefully start a build thread soon enough. Looking forward to everyone's feedback and wealth of knowledge. This is my first rotary, so I am prepared for a learning curve.
Oh and my DD is a infiniti G35 for anyone that cares!

Welcome!! Beautiful TII! Not a lot of completely modded examples out there!! Great to see another survivor! Do you know any of the car's history? Would love to see more pictures of the car!

Not really tbh, won it as an auction. Clean title. I just know it's from the north-east. So I am nervous about all the rust deposits I might find. (Already have some pointed out in the photos below). It has 87k miles. You can also see how shot the "interior" is lol. But I have OEM carpet for the front cabin. The seats I might try to redo myself.
Rust and Engine will be first on my list though.

Thanks for sharing more pictures! The good news about the seats is that they are not the original TII seats. They are from a Sport or base model. The drivers seat looks like it had some standing water on it for some time or it was left exposed to the elements. Either way, it will clean up. I would personally look for a pair of TII seats as they are excellent. Glad to hear you have the carpet l! With it currently removed, you will be able to access any rust areas you might come across that would otherwise be hidden by the carpet.

The paint also appears to be original and will likely buff out very well. You'll be surprised at how nice it will clean up once you wash it, buff it and wax it.

How does the car run and drive? Appears someone removed all of the emissions equipment. This can cause a lot of running issues.

It doesnt drive too well at the moment. It will die at idle and becomes bouncy at about 3k RPM.
It has a Super AFC installed that I may remove today. Will see if that helps with the way it drives.
