FC Owner in NJ/FL
Hi everyone, I'm Kevin.
I've had a few 2nd gen RX-7s over the years, including a modded '90 FC3S when I lived in Japan for a few years. When I came back from Japan in 2002, I bought an N/A 2nd gen RX-7 and hated having to sell it when I moved to NYC for law school in 2005. After living for several years without a car here in NY, I picked-up a base '91 FC in Pennslyvania and drove it down to rest comfortably with my folks in central Florida until the day that I have a place with a garage of my own. For now, I just get to drive it from time to time when I visit...
Despite the distance, I've been slowing tinkering with it and getting it up to speed, so-to-speak. I just had it painted and I replaced a lot of the window trim which was in pretty bad shape. Aside from a few issues I'm trying to sort out, the engine seems to be in pretty good shape, so I'm just going to make minor mods and nothing too serious. Maybe exhaust/intake, swap out the seats, stuff like that. I swaped out the original (ugly) wheels for vert wheels for now, but I'm eyeing putting on some Watanabe rims in the future.
