Hello everyone. New guy here from Birmingham, Alabama. I do not yet own an RX-7, but am currently in the works of trading my car for one. I currently own a 91 Nissan 240sx with an LS6 sitting under the hood. I know a guy in Cali that wants to trade for my car with his 93 FD with 13b j-spec motor under the hood. I am new to RX-7's and have never owned one. First thing I did was hit the internet and research everything I could find out about them as far as what goes wrong, preventative maintenance, and things to watch out for. I spent some time in the Corps and currently have a job in money management. I hope to get this car in the next couple weeks, and lightly mod it to my liking and daily drive it. I will be hanging around this forum asking questions and such and looking at parts in the classifieds for sale.

Is the car from CA on the forum?

Start by reading the 3rd gen FAQ as there is a lot of good info on there - especially the Buyer's Guide. Have the seller do a compression test from a shop using a Mazda compression tester (which prints results) so he can prove engine health.
