Chaste RX-7, won't be for long...
Hello everyone,
Like others, I've been secretly culling information from this site for years- I think they call it lurking At any rate, I would like to make my presence known and extol the virtues of an amazing super car along with the rest of you. I'll try my best to avoid sounding like a jackass.
I've owned my '95 FD for over three years, and progress has been very slow indeed. After my motor surfaced belly-up in the summer of '06, the experienced staff at Tri-Point Engineering rebuilt the rotary with a focus on reliability and longevity. Upgrades included the cooling system, the engine management, and the rotating assembly.
Since then, the car has been a joy to drive and maintain. My goal for the project has and still is "the ultimate street fighter": A car that can hold it's own for a day at the track, but it's really at home on the street. With a satisfactory engine, the next logical step is an aerodynamic and appearance package that updates the looks of the RX-7 using functional aerodynamic and/or technological elements.
At this point progress has slowed to a crawl. In engaging with the awesome community here, I hope that I will grow motivated to continue developing my RX-7 as I intended. I wish the best of luck to you all in your endeavors, as well, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
