Building from New Braunfels.
Hello all. My name is Chris Scott. I currently live in New Braunfels, TX and am doing a kinda-budget-resto-mod on a 1982 Mazda RX-7 with a 12A. I enjoy most types of cars from cruisers to muscle cars to grassroots racer imports. I currently have the RX-7 mentioned, a 1968 VW Type 3 Squareback, and a 1970 Chevy Chevelle 454. Three corners of the world, three different decades, three completely different motors to learn. I have a wonderful, very supportive wife of nearly 18 years and a wonderful 10 year old daughter who will be growing up around and probably learning to drive in these 3 cars. I very much look forward to all the years of knowlegde of fellow members of this site. I've already used the videos to help rebuild my motor.

I'm actually nearly done with it. It has a 12A with a Camden Supercharger, Racing Beat Streetport full exhaust, Holley 390 (list 8007), 1988 13B water pump and neck with a big aluminum radiator, stock transmission, and a stock rear end with a posi unit installed. I put Cipher Automotive seats (kinda like Sparcos). Full AutoMeter Phantom II guages in a custom panel (and they are friggin awesome!), Rotary Shack short shifter (and its short!). The interior was completely gone through and redone. Also has Adco sway bars and Racing Beat springs paired with Tokico blues. I completely rewired the car with an EZ wiring universal streetrod kit as well. The car will also have air conditioning, heater, and a radio (just an mp3 hookup to an amp and speakers, no head unit).
The car still needs tuning, alignment, tires, and some misc. stuff. Oh yeah, and I have 14 inch Australian Superlites which will be getting probably 185/55's on them.
I know the negative issues with the Camden. I wanted something different and Im not looking for a 600hp race car with a turbo the size of the car. My plans are for a fun streetcar that can cut corners. Plans may change later, we'll see.
The RX-7 is my corner carver, the Chevelle is straight line fun, and the VW is my cruiser. I have what I dreamt.
This site has helped me so much before I actually became a member. The knowlege from members all over the world has helped me learn and build this car that my wife and I rescued from 11 years sitting a field. Thanks to all thus far.
