Brand New FD Owner

Hey all! My name is Joe and I am very new to the rotary world, but no cars. I am a mechanic in the Air force currently stationed in Germany. I picked up a Japanese spec 1992 FD3. I plan on importing it to the states in 2017 when she turns 25. The engine was starved of oil from the last owner thinking that rigging his own oil pick up screen was a good idea. He ended up pulling the motor and putting in the the car. The body is in great shape, engine no so much. i was fortunate enough to get my hands on a street ported 1993 13B. so now i am in the process of working on that. Trying to get the rebuild parts to Germany is painstakingly slow and hard to do. I have been a huge FD fan all my life so picking this car up for $2500 seems like a steal. Just need a motor to get it going. It comes with a brand new stage 2 clutch and Apexi Power FC.
I also have my current pride and joy which is a BMW 535. Hope to learn lots from this extremely interesting car. thanks!

There are a few J specs around. Mainly military folks coming from japan. Not a ton tho. This is the only FD around.
I need to brush up on my forums skills and picture loading abilities, but i definitely plan on having a build thread. I'm a long time BMW forum guy, but its been awhile since i have done a build post.
I'm used to regular engines, so the rotary was daunting at first, but i have been lurking on the site for about a month and feel more comfortable already!
