Big day tomorrow!

My 86 RX7 is being towed to my house, I just purchased a fuel pump and will be taking all of the old gas out and putting premium in for the first tank. My question is the starting procedure for the fuel pump, let it prime for 30 seconds than crank or is there a certain way to do it so I don't screw it up. I used some starter fluid and it fired up for a little bit, i have fire and good fluids I guess I am a little nervous taht after sitting for a year the seals will be screwed and I will be blowing smoke (engine trashed) because the oil seals are bad. I like the car and hope that's not the case. But back to the point, any advice on first start up/break in after a year of sitting?

Thanks

Jesse
