AB Been registered awhile, finally posting

Hey everyone, I'm sure it says I've been a member for quite some time, somthing in years, but have never posted nor read much of the material on here because I never had internet...well that's all changed!

Anyway, I used to own an 87 TII for around 7 years, put alot of time, money and mods into it. It had me hooked almost the first time I drove it...and to think I thought Mustangs and Camaros were fun...not next to the handling of these cars. Once I seen the 3rd gen RX-7s it became my dream car, yes my dream car. 10 years later I finally own one, along with a few other toys. Now I begin the long time consuming and money draining activty of modifying my 1993 RX-7. Please feel free to make as suggestions, I know I'll have questions and I have had alot of time to think of what I want to do.

I am sure there are many people here with more knowledge of the 2nd Gen RX-7s but I do have some, having to learn the hard way with no rotary garage for 1000kms. Believe me I am sure I have encountered my fair share of problems with these cars so I will help anyone who asks me a question, if I can remember the answer . I also believe I have a few aftermarket TII parts kicking around but that is probably for another thread.

Well I'm glad to be here and look forward to learning alot about the 3rd Gens. I have done quite a bit of searching but with very poor success so here is my first question:

I am undecided as to what type of porting to do on my car. I had my old TII street ported and liked it but it was my DD, now my FD is a toy. I want to make it a monster, so to speak, but for the street - on pump fuel. I love the sound of the half-bridgeport and bridgeport but have never driven one and my only comparison is stock ports and street ports. I still want some midrange, the stock FD engine has plenty but also want high horsepower. So, as a toy, would you recommend going with a bridgeport or just a large street port? Why? Which has better turbo response?

I would like to see or be linked to dyno sheets of comparible cars showing the difference between ports - ie using similar turbos and boost. I would also like to mention my definition of a street car: This is not meant to offend anyone here but in my opinion a street car only runs on pump gas and nothing else, not even injecting alcohol or water. If I can't drive it across the country with full power available at all times then I don't want it. For those of you that have it, it's your thing and you do what you like. It's no different then liking other generations of RXs so please don't take offence. I'm sure I may tolerate louder than most exhausts and that's my thing. I am leaning towards the bridgeport mostly because I love the sound.
