Back to the Rotor

I’m back with Rotary #4

after a few years break, I have just bought this FD which will be used for circuit sprints and possibly tarmac rally. Very well setup car with money spent on all the weak points:

- fresh BP engine
- new single turbo, Turblown cast SS manifold, new wastegates
- Albins gearset which I’ve heard are bulletproof
- suspension, brakes, LSD, diff brace, full tarmac spec cage and lots more…

I was contemplating building a dual purpose road and track FD but with clean road cars now A$60k+ and recognising you’d spend $100k+ to do everything this has, buying this car instead was a no brainer.

its a former tarmac rally car so I plan to get it on Rally Permit plates through Motorsport Australia which will allow restricted use on the road for testing and to and from a place of repair.

The FD will take the lead for track duties and my GT4RS will become a garage queen 🤷‍♂️

based in Melbourne, Australia

Welcome. They're that expensive in Australia too? Trying to find an FD anywhere in the world is becoming a challenge. That happens when you have a beautiful and absolutely classic car, I guess.
