i'm back after not logging in for a few years, so here's the short version:

i originally bought my 1991 n/a because i thought it looked cool without knowing anything about cars let alone wankels. as time went on, i started with changing my oil, replacing belts and then an engine swap at 191k miles.

she ran pretty much flawlessly except when the engine needed to be replaced and when the cats clogged up, but other than those incidents, she's always fired right up.

now she's got 275k on the clock and it's looking like she blew a seal :-( normally, i'd just drop another engine in her, but now i have two kids and need a backseat.

so unless i can get her running again, it might be off to the recycle yard :-(

 

think about how i feel!?!?

the prognosis is fatal unfortunately :-( i'm giving the donation services a call today to see if they'll take her.

on the bright side, rx-8's do have backseats and i've had 10+ years of practice working on my coupe :-D

so it's not all bad ;-)
