NC Alexander, proud owner of a 1986 RX-7

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! My name is Alexander Harman. I am from Pikeville, North Carolina. I'm 19 years old and my first car was the 1986 RX-7 that I still affectionately call "My Little Rocket Ride". Unfortunately, something in the motor gave out a couple years ago, and when I took it to a mechanic, he disappeared after taking the engine apart, leaving me with a pile of parts. After all but giving up hope, I went out and bought a 2001 Ford Mustang V6 (named Circe), which I also love. But, thanks to the owner of the actual shop I took it to, I have the Rocket again. Now that I finally have the Rocket back home, I intend to try to rebuild the engine myself (with some help from manuals and friends) or replace it completely. I'd love to get the help from you guys on the forum (tips, potential expenses, etc) on how to fix and ultimately enhance my 13B. It is NA, by the way. Or, if it comes to it, what you all think would be the best (not necessarily easiest) route to go with for an engine swap. I absolutely love this car and intend to keep it for a long, long time, so even if you cats got any way out there or crazy-expensive (ahem* 20B lol) ideas, let me hear them, cause I'm not worried about time or expenses. Only thing I will say is that I will not swap for a piston engine. Rotary power!! Lol. Thanks guys.
