advice please...

hi guys...Ive recently saved a 1970 capella coupe from an almost certain slow
death from a junk yard in Japan. The good news is that this thing is a time
capsual, 100% original...even down to the factory plastic on the rear seat!
The bad news is at some stage, the hood's been left up with the air filter off and the engines been drowned in rain (thats my guess).....my deilema ......... I know where there's a new 12a twin dizzy engine for sale which would keep the car original... or do I upgrade to later model motor..if so which motor should i use?
This is my first time at this so I'm learning as I go.....thoughts please.

Liam

I would personally switch up to a newer motor since the parts are more available for it.

personally, on that car, keep it a 12a, if at all possible rebuild the motor it came with to keep it truly all original
post up some pics too.
