Hi guys - I'm Aaron from Portland, OR, nice to meet you.
I've had a couple RX7s - the first one was a '83 GS (I think) - what a great car. I bought it from a guy near San Jose CA, and the engine was blown when I bought it (I knew that
) Had it rebuilt by a great shop in Pleasanton, CA and then drove it for many years after that. Like I said, a GREAT car, really liked the looks of it, nothing like it out there, still like 'em. Used many forums like this to research problems and fix stuff. I sold it after about 5 years or so because I wanted something newer and in better condition.
I then bought an '88 10AE with only 35K miles on it! This is the car I still have - not a scratch on it, all around beautiful condition, all original everything and never had any major work done to it. Only has about 60K miles on it today. I bought the car in Las Vegas - I flew down from Portland to pick it up and drove it home (stopped at a few Nat'l parks on the way home and had a great time of it).
Since that time, I've had a few kids and I need the garage space back for a second family-size vehicle. Sigh. The car doesn't fit in my life anymore. So when I get my post count up, I intend to post my beloved 10th AE for sale. Would sure love to get it into the hands of somebody who really knows how special it is!
