Hello all,
I have long been a browser of all the glorious information throughout here but finally decided to join because I needed a part from the market. My 7 is currently spending all of its time trapped in the only local performance mechanic shop in my area. I dropped it off for a radiator and was thinking it was a day job. Three weeks later Im beginning to think it was chopped to pieces and sold. But if i ever get it back i look forward to doing the remainder of the work she needs by myself. Im posting and telling you my life story because i have read its the only way to get the PMs to start working so I can message the guy to buy the part from the market. Who knows. Anyway. I do love all the resources here and learning cool new things! Looking forward to learning even more.

Welcome to the forum! Would love to see pictures of the car! Sorry ots taking so long for a radiator. I do all of my own work. I have a hard time trusting people to work on my car and the work being to my standards. Plus I enjoy the car much more knowing I did the work and I appreciate the knowledge learned along the way. Once you start working on the car you may find you enjoy it a lot and start doing more and more work yourself. It can be fun and it can be rough, just depends on the job. Having the right tools for the job is key. You will want to invest in a quality comprehensive set of tools.

Welcome! Sorry to hear about your misfortune.
I'm also in washington state, can I ask what region you're in? There's a bunch of enthusiasts that also work on community cars that are pretty trustworthy over some shops. Not sure what shop you are working with...
Best of luck!
