93 FD after 13 years in storage

Bought the my FD back in 2007 and a few months later the motor pooped itself. In reality it was my fault that it happen and I wasnt really ready for a rx7. To keep the the story short, many things just got in the way.. From other projects taking priority, to the financial meltdown that occurred the following year. It never seemed to be the right time, so it just got stored away and out of site out of mind.. My new years resolution this year to was to get back on the road. Here are a few pics as it sits right now. Also a YouTube video of the car at Irwindale Dragstrip (completely stock).

Picture after digging the car out of storage.

Day one, finally working on the FD after 13 years

BC Better late than never.

You have picked the right time to get your 7 back on the road. Make a list of the parts you'll need and watch this site everyday to get parts when they pop up at reasonable prices.

Thanks Redbull, I think so too.

I actually purchased several parts back in 2007
Greddy Single turbo kit, not installed. Engine was still stock at the time
Power FC (never installed)
Tein coilovers (installed)
Stoptech big brake kit (installed)
HKS hi-Power Carbon Exhaust (installed)
Megan Racing downpipe (installed) just until the single turbo conversion
and a few other misc parts but then... boom

But like I mentioned earlier, I wasnt really ready for this build. There were so many things I didn't take in to account. I still consider myself a novice, but I am more studious than I was back then. I've lurked this forum for many years and gathered a lot of very useful information. I hope to show it in this build.

Right now everything from the transmission to the back has been pulled. Fuel tank is in great shape and just being cleaned out. I expected to have to use TOR15 fuel tank kit (will save that for another project). Diff and trans were in great running order before it was stored away. So they are both getting all new seals and fluids. Also just started to install the SuperPro bushings. The Sikky rx7 diff brace and Banzai trans mount will replace the PPF. All rubber fuel lines are being replaced and fuel filter is being relocated.

There is still so much more to this build but in due time. Thank you for reading my little build. I look forward to sharing and receiving your feedback.
