CA 91 S5 CA Foothills.

Hello everyone, just introducing myself to the club. My name is Robert and I live in Sonora, CA; the Gold Country, The Motherlode, whatever you wanna call it haha. Near Yosemite and home to some very twisty, crazy mountainous roads(ie Old Priest Grade).
This is my first time owning an RX-7, but I was able to get a garaged S5 NA 5-speed with 79,000 original miles. It has the original factory paint and a leather interior. I'm trying to figure out if it's a GXL or GTU. It's awesome and oldschool and completely stock I do believe. I really love it.
I've got a set of 16" Work Equips that I've had for two years now. They were on my last MR2(91 NA 5-speed) but were a little too big for that car(I've owned 4 SW21 MR2s). I bought the wheels from a guy who builds FC's, so I'm hoping they will fit perfectly on mine and I can't wait to install them.
I've owned the RX-7 since new years 2013, but I've been dealing with a Code 12(Throttle Sensor (TPS) Full Range - Fixed at 20% open) and popping in the exhaust. The code is preventing me from smogging it. It's also recently started to do a surging at very low throttle will in gear, and an up and down idle problem.
My Throttle Sensor is reading 0.57 K-Ohms at Closed Throttle and 6.46 K-Ohms at WOT. It is very frustrating to tune this thing. Me and my friend made a test light for the green 3-pin test connector, and even when one light is on and one is off, the check engine light is still on(until I very lightly touch the throttle, then it goes off). It is also still out of spec on the ohms test and I am getting very frustrated with it.
BUT, I DO have hope for this vehicle. It is very quick, and is very stable during rear wheel traction loss(I don't know if it has LSD but that would be awesome).
Anyway, thank you guys for being here. This seems like a great community and I'm glad to be a part of it!
