TX 91 RX7 FC NA newbie

Hey y'all this is Josh. Excited to finally get one of my dream cars in December. I've wanted an RX7 since i was in high school back in the 90s. My 15 year old and i got this one from a guy who was making a drift/track build. We plan to just get it looking good and drive it on the weekends. We got it running last week and the kid is now fully in(he thinks its going to be his. What an idiot!!!!!!!) we still have a ways to go. Interior was stripped, there's a racing seat my big old *** cant get in and out of easily, after replacing all vacuum hoses and gaskets its idle hunting(hoping a new AFM will fix it) the AFM shuts it off as soon as its connected. But anyway super excited to be here. Anyways any help or tips y'all have would be greatly appreciated. Cant wait to send updates on the progress.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new RX-7!! It looks like a really great project car and its even better that you and your son are doing it together! Do you plan to bring the car back to stock or mostly stock with some fun mods?

For now we just want to make it complete. But my long term plan is return to stock with the current wheels and coil overs. I want to stick with white but my kid thinks it will look good with a charcoal paint

Welcome! Enjoy the process! Honestly, I think they look good in every color! Looks like a good project starting point.
