87 FC first time rotary owner

Hello,

I purchased quite the frankensteined 1987 FC in November and have been utilizing this website nonstop for help lol. I decided it’s time to officially join so here’s my car.

I can’t thank all of you enough for building this community to spread the rotary love and help one another.

Cheers

Thank you! The history I know is from the Carfax and previous owner. The car was bought off the lot in 87 and regularly serviced at Mazda until about 2011. At that point there were engine issues and it was bought by the previous owner who was in Austin, TX and works exclusively on rotaries. He was really the one who frankensteined the vehicle, adding things like power windows and mirrors, rx-8 seats, S5 body and taillights, repainting the vehicle, and rebuilding the engine. When I bought it off him in 2019 the vehicle had been sitting in his warehouse just being worked on since 2011. The last TX registration sticker was from ‘11. So I bought the car in Austin and drove it back to Houston and immediately got to work solving all the little issues with the car thanks to a ton of help from all the users on rx7 club.
