86 FC Owner From Blacksburg
Hi!My name is Cody!
I bought myself an old FC from a patient's grandson a week ago. It needed a fuel pump, and some other work done. Now that I own it, I'm very excited to get it on the road. My only problems right now are the clutch and my fuel line.
The clutch has fallen to the floor. When I check the master, there was no fluid int he reservoir, so I filled it and began to bleed it. Unfortunately, pumping the pedal did me no good. As far as I can tell. I didn't see any difference in fluid levels in the reservoir after about 15 times.
My fuel problem is nearly solved. Today we put int he new pump and replaced the line going from the filter to the injectors. When we went to turn it over- the lower line began to spurt out fuel at a quite astonishing rate, which led to my checking it and discovering that it was dry rotted to hell.
Any help on my two issues is greatly appreciated. I really didn't want to spend too much more money on this car, and right now my main concern is the fuel line. I can drive without the clutch I think- use a string to pull it back up after each shift. I dont know if that will work or not.
As far as other small issues, I really would like to find somewhere I can get the housings for the headlight bulbs, another white fender, and a drivers side FTP lens. I've been looking all over for the damned housings (in the pic you can see what i"m talking about, there's no place to actually hold the glass part of the bulb)- and I still can't find them. I'd go to a junk yard if I didn't think I'd pay an arm and a leg..not to mention I really dont have the time, while I'm working full time.
Anyway- here's the car itself.

I'm pretty sure my bank card doesn't do that sorta thing. Haha. I really am excited to get into rotaries. Though.. would it be sacrilege to say I'd still give my left nut for a Z32?
