'85 GSL-SE owner from Ontario

Hi All, My name is Mike.
I have been reading this forum for the last couple years and have had a ton of help from you guys in getting my GSL-SE back on the road. I live in Stevensville Ontario. I bought this car back in '91. It was my first car and it has not been winter driven. I was the second owner. It is sitting with 118 000 KMs on it ( 71, 000 Miles). I hadn't driven it since 2001 due to babies being born. Well 2 years ago I got the itch to start her up. Changed cap, wires, plugs, etc... Started up on first crank. After driving it around for a day I noticed the oil cooler was leaking and I had fuel issues due to the residue from old gas. So back in the garage it went. Last week I fixed the oil cooler with the help of a welder friend and also replaces the lines. I have drained tank and tried flushing it a number of times but still have an issue with the residue. I decided to take it to a shop and have them clean the tank out for me. they called me in today to take a look at it and it really is a mess inside and the sending unit is pretty corroded as well.. Anyway, I am still looking forward to getting this thing running down the Niagara Parkway in the near future. The boy sitting in the car in the picture below is my son. He was the initial reason this car went into to storage for the last 10 years and he is now the reason that I can't wait to get it running smooth again. Thanks for the site guys. I love it.

Have an update!... Gas tank replaced and running like new. Forgot how much I loved this car. Over 10 years in the waiting and I am back on the road. When I get enough posts to gain access I will add an album. Thanks for all your help!
