First off I don't want to make a bad impression but these rules which don't allow you to post threads or reply in certain sections is incredibly annoying! I realize you're trying to keep people from dropping in, doing no research, and asking questions that have already been answered before. But for those of us that have done research and spent time, and need help by starting a new thread get prevented from doing so. I just don't think that is right... Perhaps have the first threads require an administrator to approve and have posted would be a better way of handling this.

So needless to say after clicking around through a dozen forums, I found I could post here... So I might as well officially introduce myself.

I bought an 83 RX7 GS with about 135K miles on it back in May of '10. It has been a good runner up until recently which is what brings me here. Regardless it looks like there is lots of good info here which will be helpful over time. My car is going to need a fair bit of work and i'm considering trying to restore it to new-look condition, but maybe with some performance modifications.

Anyway, sorry about the ranting but it is frustrating when you are trying to get help... looks like I have to post at least 2 more times before I can start my thread over in the 1st gen forum.

Peace...

Actually, the system is primarily geared towards stopping members who have been banned from simply picking a new screen name and finishing whatever bad activity they were doing that caused them to get banned. It's also set up to stop 98% of the spammers hawking cellphones or lost money in Nigerian banks. That's the reason you don't see this website littered with such junk or **** links.

It's also geared towards stopping people from registering simply to unload their junk or cars. This is an online site for social purposes surrounding the rotary and RX-7 communities first and not an online classifieds board.

That being said, thanks for registering and welcome aboard, Greg! I've got two 1stgen's myself. Hope you got your poor car going.
