There is a good reason for doing this, but it can be kinda annoying, I have to admit. Oh well, it will make for a better forum, so I'm all for it.

im trying to get some post counts as well. i had real question that i couldnt even ask in the threads...life is too restricting.

 

Yeah, but the payoff is worth it. Because we have to do this, it's pretty much impossible to get spambots in here to ruin our 7 experience!!!

I guess thats a good reason for it, however Ive been posting on various forums for years and this is the first one I have ran across that makes you do this. Maybe this is becoming the norm, I dont know.

 

This is also one of the few forums that I have joined that requires you to make posts in order to posts in other sections of the board

I think building post count is pretty tough for guys like me that prefer reading FAQ's and searching through posts ect for the info I need. I do understand the new policy though... keeps the eTards off a good forum.

 

Even though its only 5 posts for some reason it takes forever to get those 5 posts up.

this is great. i too understand why they do it but it is kind of annoying.

 

one thing i never quite got though is ive been on this forum for a long time and there is almost never a reason to post because i can find everything through the search, but when you dont find something and post your question a lot of the time you just get people flaming you to use the search. Seems counter productive to me.
