hello all. been on here a while but never got around to introducing myself. ive had 2 z32's an na and a tt previously. ive loved fd3's ever since seeing them in the original need for speed on playstation. and, back in 96 a friend of mine drove to school in an immaculate 93cym. it was his moms who owned a laundry mat if you can believe it.he later got a 93 mb. anyway,im in the market for another toy but im torn between another 300zx tt or a 3rd gen rx-7. i really want an fd for a couple of reasons. 1=theres not any in the town where i live and i like that.
2= i would love to get the jdm backseat so on occassion i could hav my 5 and 6 year old ride with me and z32's only came to the states as tt's without a back seat. fd3 cons=after seeing previous g.b.'s it seems a hard and long battle to get the jdm backseat from fdnewbie imports at a price of 600-900$. 2= im just a little worried about the reliability of rotary motors.i would only buy one that has recently been rebuilt. 3=i live in nw fla and no shop within hundreds of miles specializes in them.

i live in nw fla. fort walton beach. its in between panama city and pensacola. a 2+2 z32 with a tt swap allmost also has a used jdm engine and im not gunna spend 8-10k on a car with that.plus i like the 2+0 body much better.if i found 1 swapped right AND rebuilt motor/turbos i would bite but they are too few and far between.ive been a member on this forum since 2005 and ive been lusting after a 3rd gen much much longer than that.only reason im contemplating an rx7 now is finally the price has come down to what i can afford.
