1994 RX7 2JZ Conversion
Hi gents, not new to the forum but wanted to introduce myself. I bought an FD 7 years ago knew little about rotaries. Got scammed, the seller new the motor was blown, I thought it was a simple coolant leak! Ended up doing a 2JZ swap because of stories experiences I read about the reliability of the wankel. More over there is less than one or two shops that can build a rotary engine in my area.
I've got an LS swap myself and can agree with that 100%. It really wakes the car up... Im going twins over the winter so the cars tore down now but really considering a 2J swap on the next one. How did everything fit? And what kit did you use if you even used a kit?
It sits right up against the firewall, had to flatten that ridge with a hammer. But there is no movement in the engine at any point. I used the tech2 motorsports kit for the swap. I even just completed the Ford 8.8 conversion on the rear end.
Now the car feels rugged and reliable.

Im running the FD stock rearend right now but plan to shoot to the 8.8 in the near months. Was it a noticable difference in feel after you swapped to the 8.8? The stock FD diff is pretty stout under light modification
