1983 gsl
Hi everyone.
My name is Pete!
I Just got a 83 GSL as a 50th B-day present. She's a little rough, and needs a LOAD of TLC. Interior is shot. Body is in great shape with no rust.
Today I started taking the center dash out to get rid of the broken stock radio, and replace the cigarette lighter.( I need a place to plug in my phone) WHAT a pain in the butt. Anyone have any suggestions for getting it out?
Drivetrain is sound, but again needs some TLC. Replacing all vacuum hoses, and removing as much smog crap as I can. Input here would be great too.
Ordered SS Brake lines, and a short shifter. That will solve 2 issues, like stopping and getting to 3rd easily.
Down the road will be coilovers, sway bars, rack, and pinion steering. Hopefully within the next 6 months.
I have a 6 port 13B that I might rebuild and wedge in, but in no hurry right now.
Has anyone converted the rear to independent?
Here she is in all her glory. The gold will go!
