1979 Low KM SA in Alberta
Brand new to the world of Rotary's.
We have been looking for something unique for my son's first car. He is 15 in September and a real car nut. A friend of ours picked up this car at auction (story goes original owner) and it seemed like a good deal so we purchased it from him. It has just under 78k Kms and runs and handles like a dream. Looks like it has been painted at one time or at least touched up. Leaks oil from the engine (hoping pan gasket) and the rear end seems a little wet and clunks every now and again. Couple rust spots behind the rear wheels but had it up on the lift and it's solid everywhere else. Didn't receive any real documentation with it so not sure of the history but will be digging into it as we go. Only other drawback I see is that it is an auto.
For now we are driving it and enjoying the ride. Will likely park it for the winter and he can continue learning to drive in the KIA...no fun in that I know.

Funny, I received a larger response on the Camaro forum than I did here. Guess I'll just keep poking around picking up what I can. Seems like lots of info here.

Welcome to the forum, great to see another RX7 in Alberta!
Oil pan leaks are super common and can sometimes be a real pain to seal up. If its really small I would ignore it. The 12A's are super reliable so that will be a fun little car for your son - he is lucky!

You will find lots of information and support here, happy rotoring!
