For you guitar nuts...

I just bought a Highway One Fender Strat. Anyone know of a good hard case for Strats that'll fit in the back of an FD? I looked at the "coffin cases" online, but it looks like it'll be a tight fit.

I put my practice amp in the back. My guitar(s) ride shotgun with the seat completely tilted back. Not too bad a fit.

As far as case recommendations... SKB all the way.

Thanks for the help guys. I may have to stick with the gig bag for now. It looks like I may have to start traveling to NoVa on a weekly basis for work. If I do, I'd have to pack a small suitcase, laptop bag, guitar, maybe an amp and of course mech tools( just in case ).

I bought the Strat on Ebay and it's due to get here tomorrow, so I have no idea on the quality of the bag it comes with. It's been literally only one week since I've gotten back into music. Things are alot different now from when I was in the thick of it 14 years ago...

Ok, the gig that comes with the Highway One is pretty darn mediocre...

But I did find an SKB that fits perfectly in the back of the FD, without lowering the divider:

Yeah, that's the cool thing about SKB cases, they're extremely rugged. If you do manage to damage one, they'll replace it for free. They have an UNCONDITIONAL Lifetime guarantee.
