I dont know why these cf hoods do this.
Someone told me its more intense if pools of water gather at low points on your cf hood or wing and this tends to magnify the suns intensity there.
As for getting rid of the yellow haze. I can't offer any advice except for painting it.
I'll be painting mine when I have the time and money.

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
Unfortunately it is the resin that is yellowing, not much you can do about that. I suggest anyone that cares about this not happening to get your hood clearcoated after buying it. This will LYK that it is protected and prolong the life of the hood. It will also allow you room to buff out any blemishes or defects. Sorry to hear about that, it all depends on the resin they used to make the part and the UV protection of it. I highly doubt that companies actually clear coat the hoods after they come out of the mold, I bet they use a UV prohibitor in the resin and that is it. Not good enough.

MMMMMM polyester resin go figure
thats why I use epoxy resin or vynlester for cf parts and fg parts cost more but you get what you pay for
bum deal man id paint it and call it a day because you wont be getting it clear again even if you did clear coat it as soon as you got it it would still yellow because as Sonic said its the resin.
