Question Would a RHD carpet fit in a LHD ?

I looked around the forum before posting and couldnt really find an answer to this.

Im planning on doing a full restoration inside the car and im planning on either dye my tan carpet or just get a black one from Japan that would probably be in better condition since it would be from a 2000/2002 car. Thats almost 9yrs newer than mine

So my question here is, if the RHD carpet would fit ? I know the gas hole and heel padding are opposite but anything else besides that? Ill have new floor mats too so i dont care for the heel part or the gas.

Im more worried about the tunnel section if it will fit right or have like air pockets or something.

Thanks!

From my understanding, it will not fit without major modification/cutting.

I've done in an FC and it's not a good idea. The footwell areas don't line up properly and it does require cutting in other areas.
